Ocha Nyama Restaurant Review

Hey, I’m back with another restaurant review and this one is of Ocha Nyama in Lusaka. I went there with my aunt and cousin recently and lemme tell you, the food was bussin’ Before I get into that, imma talk about how the place looks cause that’s the first thing I notice everytime I’m at a restaurant.

I knew it was famous for hosting Supa Softs but cause I’ve never been to one, i’d only see what it looks like in pictures till actually went there. The person that designed it was so creative and eccentric. Every single part of the restaurant is gorgeous in its own way. It all comes together so beautifully and looks so lovely.

Another thing I knew it was famous for is its nshima which I assume people eat while drinking and watching sports cause that’s the case most times at restaurants like this.

Now onto the food. I got a rice and oxtail with some juice.

My cousin got a quarter chicken with some chips.

And my aunt got nshima with T-bone and some vegetables.

The food all looks really good and tasted even better. I devoured that oxtail and took the rest to go cause it was actually a lot. Like not even the normal a lot of me not finishing my food but I was at that restaurant hungry and on my period and I got insanely full but still had to pack some to go which when I ate later was a full meal.

It was also seasoned really well and the flavours blended amazingly so big ups to the chef cause he really knows his stuff. I know see why a lot of people come here tbh.

Overall a 10/10 experience and highly recommend everyone to try it at least once.

I’ll see you in the next post. With love, Solannah 🫶🏽
